ally fashion: sherbert dip

Today I wanted to post about the sherbert dip trend because it is definitely one that I think is interesting. A few days ago I caught up with another friend of mine and ended up going shopping again! I was in control of my shopping urge; I only picked up the military shirt from a previous Ally fashion post, a gold chain necklace to pair it with from Cotton On, a neon green statement necklace, assorted twisty ties, a cat ears headband and a floral pencil case for uni from Sportsgirl. You guys will definitely be seeing these soon. Okay on to the items (images always taken from original website);
Dress in dip dye with lace trim
$AU 24.99
I really love the color burgundy,  I think it's gorgeous and flattering and the dip-dye design on this dress makes it an unique piece. I would probably wear this to the beach with black sandals and a black fedora. To dress it up you could go for leather look leggings or black stockings, ankle booties and a blazer or leather jacket.

Dress in rayon with dip dye
$AU 24.99
This dress also comes in the same color variation above but I am leaning towards this  military-esque color scheme.As we have seen in shops at the moment, evidently military and khaki is a big trend. I like the colors for the simple reason that it looks great with gold accessories  That being said I would pair it with a fun pair of shoes, statement gold necklace peeking out from under the collar and a delicate gold bracelet.
Sun dress in tye dye print
$AU 29.99
In my eyes this dress is very Malibu Barbie, but I kind of love it. It is a halter neck which is one of the most flattering dress styles and the print is funky and fun. I personally would love to try and edge up the look with of course my go-to black ankle booties, leather jacket and black and white skull scarf perhaps?

ally fashion: meteorite/galaxy

So it's been a few days and I am very happy to be posting again. I have just been making the most out of my uni holidays; reading great books, eating, shopping, catching up with friends and also getting back into exercising (for real this time). Whilst with a good friend of mine we went to Ally and I was happy to find a lot of the items I listed on previous posts were in store. Whilst everything was cute I had to choose carefully on what I bought so I came home with the cat-print tee and the burgundy baroque dress! So styling posts will be coming soon.  Here is the continuation of the online fashion trend for Ally. (As per always images from original website).
Shirt dress in speckle print
$AU 24.99
These kinds of dresses are elegant, girly and fun. This dress reminds me of a modern twist of dresses an all-time favorite of mine wore; Audrey Hepburn! The back is also sheer which adds a nice peek-a-boo effect. I would pair this with a black fedora, studded bag, and fun black ankle boots.
Chiffon wrap maxi in galaxy print
$AU 19.99
The colors used in this galaxy print makes it a very interesting piece. I would say it is quite versatile and looks quite feminine with the crossover in the front. Sandals, a black singlet, bangles and big earrings with this skirt would look especially cool paired together.
Galaxy print denim short shorts
$AU 39.99
These shorts would be an effortless way to incorporate the galaxy/meteorite trend into your wardrobe without going too extreme. I really love the pattern on shorts especially. If I owned these shorts I could either go casual with a black rock tee, converse and a beanie or a bit more dressy with a black singlet, leather jacket and high heeled ankle boots.

ally fashion: coordinates

Another day, another Ally trend online update! As per usual all images from origin website. Now on to the virtual window shopping. On a more personal note I am sorry this post is a little short, I have to run off in a couple of minutes but did not want to neglect my blog. Oh and I believe it's important to mention that these posts are 100% for fun and Ally fashion or any of the other fashion stores I feature do not know I exist so therefore not sponsored or anything!

Shirt with tie waist and flamingo print
$AU 19.99
The coordinate trend was sported by celebrities like Selena Gomez late last year . It is when you wear two items of clothing with the same print and wear them together! Typically I have seen the blazer and shorts combo or top and skirt one such as this cute tied-at-the-waist flamingo print top. Very cute with the skirt below.
Skirt with flamingo print
$AU 19.99
Paired with the shirt above I think it would look kind of cute. To me it looks like a dress but in separate pieces, why not right?  I would probably wear this with converse and fun sunglasses.

ally fashion: floral trend

To make up for not posting yesterday I will continue today's posts with my picks from ally and the floral trend. In my previous post I forgot to write what the website for the store was! It is: http://www.allyfashion.com/store/
I really enjoy writing why I like each item and what I would pair them with and I hope that you guys do as well. Images always taken from their origin website.

Red baroque jacquard piped dress
AU $29.99
The baroque trend is going to be big this season with sites like ASOS, fashion youtubers such as Rhiannon from 'fashionrocksmysocks' and 'fashtag' featuring the print to be a big hit. This dress is one of my favourite picks. It's a bit gothic but very ladylike at the same time! I hope I can find one.
Floral print full skirt dress
$AU 29.99
This dress reminds me of the 1950s. It's very girly and classy perfect for girl's day outs or shopping trips as it's covered at the top. I would either wear this with cool studded black shoes and a black fedora or with sheer tights brogues and hoop earrings.
Pants in floral multi color print
$AU 14.99
I actually have these pants! They are comfy and a really fun print. Even in person the blue, purple, black and white flecks are very vibrant. I have worn them with my beloved black and white skull blouse and ankle strapped sandals but I would love to try them with my black converse and a simple white v-neck tee.
Maxi dress in mixed paisley print
$AU 39.99
If you ever have those days where you want to be comfortable and breezy this is it. Just looking at it reminds me of tropical holidays. I would wear this with strappy sandals and hoop earrings to give that vacation look.

ally fashion

These posts I find are especially fun as I can virtually window shop! It's fun just to go through websites and pick out what I like and maybe by chance you like them too. It's a way to show my appreciation for all things fashion and maybe give some inspiration for the next time you (or I) go shopping. I will try to update these kinds of posts quite regularly just in case you guys find something you like and want to go shopping right at this minute. Ally fashion was not a store in my favorites list right up until last year. I guess I never really went in and had a good look or their choices have gotten better through time but here we are and I am happy to say it is now one of my favourite shops. I am especially excited for when their 'enchanted woodland' collection comes out in fall/winter. It reminds me of British youtubers Zoe and Louise as they love that kind of clothing. I will be updating my picks from each trend collection. Today I will show you my picks from their new arrivals. Images always taken from their origin website.

Cat print tee
$AU 14.99
Cat face prints have been very popular. I have seen similar ones from Romwe. I think it's really fun and quite  cute and it's a must-have for you cat lovers out there!

Knit vest with heart
$AU 19.99
I think I was influenced by the Valentine's fever and maybe a little bit of Carrie Diaries as well. One thing I knew for certain is that this shirt is adorable. I would probably wear this to university or shopping with friends paired with fun printed denim shorts and black converse.
Military dress with contrast panels
$AU  24.99
The paneling on this dress is what made me like it. It is very Victoria Beckham-esque and helps to  streamline any figure. These kinds of dresses with the black on the outside are definitely one of the most flattering out there.

Top in camouflage
$AU 14.99
Can't go wrong with a loose comfortable printed tee to throw on with a pair of jeans , combat boots and a leather jacket.

pop of orange

This outfit was inspired by an outfit Nina Dobrev sported on a day out with her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder however, I recently purchased a pair of neon green cut-off shorts that actually replicates it more closely so I will do an outfit post with a picture of her outfit to compare hopefully soon! Even though the colors black and orange do remind me of Halloween I think it's wearable day or night no matter what season it is. It's very laidback, cool and super easy to pull together. I know that some people don't like the look of pockets sticking out of shorts but I personally think it's a lot of fun. For some reason as well it kind of slims the legs which is also something wonderful. Paired with the clutch a pair of heels or even flat shoes makes it work for an evening look while for a day look I would probably only switch up the clutch to a shoulder bag. I also like adding a black fedora to make the look a bit more interesting.

outfit points:
black and white graphic tee
cropped black blazer
colorful shorts
fun black shoes
clutch

where I got what:
black cropped blazer: h&m
black and white graphic muscle tee: ICE
orange cut-off shorts: forever 21
studded clutch: colette accesories
black and gold shoes: windsor smith

CO. by cotton on

I just found out about this awesome new brand by cotton on called CO. It features all the things I love about fashion from fun out there printed pants, fringe skirts, rocker chic vests, neon and the list goes on and on. I haven't shopped there as of yet but am very looking forward to having a sneak peak in person. Perhaps in future hauls and outfits I will hopefully feature items from it? In the meantime I have browsed their online shop and here are a few of my favourite picks (all images from the cotton on brand and if you love the items check out: http://shop.cottonon.com/cobycottonon/ ):
biker tape vest
Biker tape vest
AU $49.95
Paired with anything to give an edgy feel this biker vest would look cute over a floral dress or with a tank top,  jeans and combat boots.

opulent sweat short
Opulent sweat short
AU $34.95
I have always been curious about the athletic luxe look where you pair  athletic clothes with luxe items.  These shorts would look cute with either ankle booties and a blouse or with a v-neck tee, statement necklace and converse.
quilted raw edge short
Quilted raw edge short
AU $34.95
A fun and unique pair of shorts that will add interest to any outfit.  Since the panel part of the shorts is black it would look good with pretty much everything. Especially with the shirt below!
slub edge pocket tee
Slub edge pocket tee
AU $24.95
Seeing it now the black accent would look cute with the shorts up top paired with maybe a statement necklace? This casual shirt is a go-to for those lazy days but still remains fashionable with it's black accent.
combination wide leg pant
Combination wide leg pant
AU $49.95
These shorts are very interesting. I am not sure if I would be brave enough to wear them until I tried them on and had a look but if I owned them I would pair them with ankle strapped kitten heels, a black tank top, fringe vest and hoop earrings. The print is very Dylana and Natalie Suarez (who are insanely fashionable)!
fringe skirt
Fringe skirt
AU $20 (on sale!)
Black skirts are awesome with anything from t-shirts to sweaters but I think with a little bit of fringe on it brings it to a whole other level. Very Carrie Bradshaw-esque.
flight baseball tee
flight baseball tee
AU $29.95
This shirt is really cool and skater-style.  I think it would look cool with a  girly skirt (like the one above) with ankle strapped kitten heels and hoops because it contrasts boyish and girly and makes for a very fun combination!
